2021-2022 Programme

All meetings take place at the Parish Room in High Green at 7.30pm on alternate Mondays throughout the year. Please contact the club through the contact page for more details.

Following the continuing issue with Covid-19, the club has continued to ‘meet’ on a regular basis over the internet via the Zoom Video Conferencing platform. The club is still open for business – alternate Mondays (mostly) at 7.30pm. Contact the club if you want to join us virtually.

20th September – Introduction to new season’s syllabus and outings reviews.
4th October – Take 3 Images and let’s see how much creativity our members have.
18th October Annual General Meeting
1st November Tracey Lund FMPA, FBIPP, ARPS, DPAGB, AFIAP, BPE1* – Wildlife Photography Part 2 Zoom This promises to be another great eveningwith stunning images and stories from Tracey.
15th November – Studio night photographing Wombwell Drama Group @ JFYP Studio. Good opportunity to get some great character images.
29th November – YPU 2021 Exhibition Images
6th December – Review of Drama Group photos from 15 Nov and other homeworks
13th December – Martin Patten DPAGB, LRPS, AFIAP, BPE4* – ‘How to improve your Photography’ Zoom – Martin is a well-known Exhibitor and Judge on thecamera club scene and is going to share lots of helpful tips to get the best out of your photography.
20th December – Christmas Meal / Social (TBA)
10th January – Carole McNiven Young FRPS DPAGB EFIAP/b BPE4* – ‘Creative Studio Portraiture’ Zoom – Carole will cover the main techniques and methodsof creative studio portraiture including posing models, selecting costumes and props and explaining compositing.
24th January – Preparing images for competitions, based on my role as a national judge and adviser on PAGB distinctions. Marilyn Roberts DPAGB, BPE4*YPU President.
7th February – Paul Mitchell FRPS – ‘Woodland Ways’ Landscape Photography
Zoom Paul is a highly regarded judge and lecturer producing delightfullandscapes and woodland scenes.
21st February – Annual Digital Image Competition Judge TBC
7th March – Practical evening – Water drop/Splash Photography
21st March – Stan Farrow FRPS, EFIAP, DPAGB – Zoom talk. ‘Photo Art’ Zoom. Stan is a much-respected photographer and exhibitor known for his digital artimages.
28th March – Changed to Review of Water Splash images from 7th Mar and review otheravoid clash with Easter and May Bank Holiday.homeworks.
11th April – Mobile Phone Competition, vote for your favourite.
25th April – Joe Houghton – Processing in Mono Zoom talk from Dublin, Ireland. Joe is a certified Adobe and Lightroom Trainer and Judge and will showus how to process monochrome images for greatest impact. Lots of great reviews about this talk.
9th May – Pete Colley – Photographing the Night Sky. This promises to be a fascinating talk from Pete about his Astro photography – he even builtan observatory in his back garden for it!
